In recent years, Winooski’s economy has been flourishing with businesses, breweries, and restaurants. On April 2nd there was a decision made to build a hotel in this popularized destination to grow tourism. Winooski’s City Council has approved the plan to put a six-story, 97 room Marriott SpringHill Suites in the downtown traffic circle area. The Winooski Hotel Group LLC will assist with the permits and funding for this project. The Marriott would be an upscale all suite hotel with prices from $100-200 per night. It would create between 30 and 40 jobs, and have a restaurant attached.
